Jubilee Sailing Trust
'Routes des Moules' Regatta 2006

The Alderney Route des Moules Regatta 2006 will be taking place over the weekend of 26th to 29th May (last bank holiday in May).

This is a great fun regatta open to everyone and anyone who wants to experience great sailing, discover the beautiful island of Alderney, enjoy a fantastic prize giving dinner and at the same time raise money for the Jubilee Sailing Trust.

Alderney Sailing Club
The Alderney Sailing Club caters for a wide range of sailing interests ranging from dingy sailing up to blue water cruisers. The Alderney Sailing Club is a focal point for visiting yachtsmen and their crews and has an active junior section.

Alderney International Regatta 2006
The Alderney Regatta, organised by the Alderney Sailing ClubClub, is an annual event which attracts visiting yachts from the other Channel Islands, France, and the South Coast of Englandd.

Alderney Harbourmaster
In Alderney the Harbourmaster acts as Coastguard and co-ordinates with the local Lifeboat. The Harbour Office is responsible for all moorings in Braye Harbour as well as providing Customs facilities and weather information for visiting yachtsmen.

'Alderney Radio' maintains a listening watch on VHF Channels 16 and 74.

Coastguard
There are no Coastguard stations in the Channel Islands; the Harbourmaster's Office fulfils this function in Alderney

There is a permanent Lifeboat Station in Alderney with a 'Trent' class, allweather lifeboat and an inshore D-Class lifeboat.

As with the other British Channel Islands there is no VAT/TVA in Alderney, which makes a visit there even more attractive. Shopping for jewelry, cameras and electronic goods is still a pleasure in the quaint town of St Anne.
